getting older stinks

I think I know where the term " Old Fart " came from . As I get

older ,

I get increasingly flatulent . No reason for it , other than increasing

age .

So , I guess being " older " and " farting " , is just part of old age .

Thus , the term , " old fart " . Anyone got a better idea ?
